Monday Give Away :: Augustine's City of God

This week's give away: St. Augustine's important work, City of God.

This is a book I have not yet completed, though I've encountered numerous discussions about it in other works.

For a chance to win a copy, answer me this:

What is the longest book you've ever completed?

    Here is mine.

A winner will be selected Friday, at random, from those who comment.  Also, feel free to share this give away via Facebook or Twitter.

    Wayne Grudem's "Systematic Theology"

That's required reading for a lot of folks I know. I referenced Grudem quite a bit when I was at Dallas.

It's definitely not systematic theology, but because of all the difficulty of keeping up with all the Russian names and its length I would have to say "The Brothers Karamazov" by Dostoevsky.

I haven't finished Brothers Karamazov. It's been in progress for longer than I'd like to admit. It is difficult to follow, at times, but there is some profound dialogue, in particular: Father Zossima, and the dialogue of The Grand Inquisitor.
